As a Junior Marketing Specialist, you will contribute to building and delivering the marketing and brand strategy for private individuals, supporting campaigns that bring our Retail Banking products closer to our customers.
You will be part of the Communications & Brand Experience Center of Excellence, working within the Brand & Marketing Team, directly contributing to impactful campaigns, content, and communication initiatives that shape the ING brand experience.
About the team
You will join a dynamic, collaborative, creative and highly supportive team where marketing and brand experience come together. The team works closely with multiple business lines, agencies and partners, in an environment where curiosity, autonomy and innovation are encouraged.
You will report directly to the Brand & Marketing Lead and work side‑by‑side with Senior Marketing Managers who will guide you in developing your marketing skills.
Your day to day
Working as a Junior Marketing Specialist means supporting and implementing the campaign calendar for Retail Banking, covering both internal and external communication.
Your key activities will include:
Supporting the implementation of go‑to‑market campaigns for Retail Banking products and services
Briefing and managing small-scale campaigns end‑to‑end
Contributing to campaign positioning, messaging, and storytelling across various channels
Collaborating with agencies to develop creative, relevant and engaging communication concepts
Monitoring customer insights from social media, contact centers, app stores and competitors, and sharing actionable conclusions
Learning how to plan, budget, forecast and track campaign results together with Senior Marketers
Managing multiple stakeholders and building strong cross-functional relationships
What you bring to the team
No prior experience required; internship experience is a plus
Understanding of marketing campaign processes (online & offline) represents an advantage
Familiarity with digital platforms and social media
Good copywriting skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage timelines effectively
Proactive, organized, self‑driven and eager to learn
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Team-oriented mindset and curiosity to keep developing
