We’re looking for a curious and detail-oriented Junior to Intermediate Product Designer to join our growing product team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Product Manager to bring features and product improvements to life. You’ll also play a key role in reviewing our existing product for consistency and usability improvements. Beyond core product work, you’ll occasionally collaborate with our marketing and leadership teams to support campaign design and branded presentation materials. This is a great opportunity for a designer who wants real ownership, varied work, and room to grow within a collaborative, fast-moving team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Product Manager to design intuitive, user-centered UI/UX solutions for new features and product initiatives, from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups.
  • Design thoughtful interaction details including hover states, empty states, loading states, and error states to ensure a complete and polished user experience.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of the existing product to identify inconsistencies in UI patterns, components, and user flows, and propose and implement improvements to enhance usability and visual consistency.
  • Lead the migration of our design component library from Sketch to Figma, building a well-structured, reusable component system that supports the product team’s long-term design workflow.
  • Maintain and evolve the component library and design system over time, ensuring designs remain consistent and up to date as the product grows.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are feasible, clearly communicated, and accurately implemented.
  • Support the marketing team with design deliverables for key campaigns, events, and product launches (e.g., landing pages, promotional assets).
  • Assist the leadership team in creating polished, on-brand slide decks for major internal and external presentations.
  • Actively seek and incorporate feedback from the Product Manager, stakeholders, and users to iterate and improve designs.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of UX and UI design principles, including layout, typography, colour, and visual hierarchy.
  • A keen eye for detail and consistency, with the ability to identify and resolve visual and usability issues across a product.
  • Proficiency in Figma for UI design, prototyping, and component creation; experience with Sketch is a plus given our current tooling.
  • Experience creating wireframes and high-fidelity mockups that communicate design intent clearly.
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries; experience building or migrating one is a strong asset.
  • Comfortable working across different design contexts, including product UI, marketing materials, and presentation design.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions to non-designers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and self-directed working style.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices in digital design.
  • Basic understanding of how design translates to front-end development (HTML/CSS awareness is a plus, not a requirement).
  • A willingness to proactively explore and adopt AI tools and workflows to improve personal and team productivity as the technology evolves.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in product design, UI/UX design, or a related field; or a strong portfolio that demonstrates equivalent ability.
  • A portfolio showcasing product design work, including your design process and final UI deliverables.
  • Hands-on experience with Figma and/or Sketch.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with product and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working within Agile sprint cycles, including participating in sprint planning, design reviews, and iterating quickly based on feedback from product and engineering.

Salary range: $58,630 - $80,517 CAD
