Junior Financial Analyst FP&A

We are looking to appoint a Junior Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join our Warehousing FP&A Team. Reporting to the FP&A Senior Manager, you will need a strong systems background, along with being highly effective working with cross-functional teams and building strong working relationships with operating and functional leaders across the network. This is a role joining a growing team and is suitable for someone eager to progress and take on more responsibilities.
 

Working hours:

Monday – Friday 08:00-16:30 (Flexible based on 37.5 hours per week and hybrid working options)

Competitive starting salary and will be discussed at screening stages before potential interviews.


You will need to:

  • Have exemplary analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative), including the ability to solve practical problems and analyse processes for improvement.

  • Hold strong Excel (must have!) and Power BI skills

  • Have strong communication and influencing skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative, hit deadlines and not be afraid to ask for help when needed.

  • We are searching for a great personality and attitude towards work and an inquisitive mind.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis covering all areas of P&L and key performance metrics.

  • Assist in preparation of business plans and forecasts.

  • Track of plans and performance against budgets and forecasts.

  • Develop strong relationships based on mutual trust and respect with operating leaders, providing a robust link between the operations and finance.

  • Drive financial results via data analysis, including key trends, variance analysis and development of financial models for decision support.

  • Produce weekly KPI reporting as well as analysis of the figures.

  • Produce accurate financial information to various stakeholders across the business.

  • Willingness to travel where necessary.

  • Additional duties as required.

  • Preferably possess a range of communication and influencing styles that can be deployed with stakeholders and senior members of the Leadership Team to drive performance and delivery of plans within budget.

  • Be able to bring credibility and integrity to business area through your commercial awareness and mindset of doing the right thing for our business, team members and customers.

  • Be comfortable in challenging, confronting and solving difficult situations whilst maintaining solid internal and external relationships.

  • Be able to bring a balanced view to decision making with credible contribution beyond financial analysis.

  • Have a positive attitude and be keen to develop – keeping yourself motivated to get the job done and to deliver to tight timelines; actively seeking accountability and opportunity.

  • Demonstrate an inquisitive approach, an eye for detail and solid financial modelling skills, evolving in line with business and external requirements.
