Job Summary
KBR is seeking to hire a Data Manager (DM) to support complex software systems for government programs. The Data Manager is responsible for coordinating, managing, and ensuring the quality of all Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Subcontract Data Requirements List (SDRL) deliverables for the program. This role oversees the full lifecycle of data deliverables, including reviewing DD Form 1423 requirements, establishing delivery schedules, providing authors with required guidance and documentation, and ensuring all submissions meet contractual, formatting, and compliance standards. The Data Manager performs detailed document reviews for grammar, spelling, formatting, and required compliance markings such as CUI, EAR/ITAR, distribution statements, and data rights. This position also works closely with Configuration Management to ensure all documents are under appropriate CM control prior to delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Review DD Form 1423s and related contract requirements.
· Create, maintain, and communicate delivery schedules for CDRLs/SDRLs.
· Provide authors with required 1423s, DIDs, and supporting documentation.
· Review documents for:
· Grammar and spelling accuracy
· Formatting consistency and compliance
· Correct application of required markings, including:
· Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
· EAR/ITAR export control markings
· Distribution statements
· Data rights notices
· Ensure all documents meet contractual and quality standards prior to submission.
· Partner with Configuration Management to ensure documents are under proper CM control before delivery.
· Track, monitor, and report status of all data deliverables.
· Support continuous improvement of document workflows, templates, and CDRL/SDRL processes.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelors degree from an ABET accredited college or university and 0-2 years of experience.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in CDRL/SDRL management or related document control environments.
· Knowledge of DD Form 1423s and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).
· Strong attention to detail with proven ability to perform grammar, spelling, and formatting checks.
· Understanding of compliance markings including CUI, EAR/ITAR, distribution statements, and data rights.
· Ability to create and manage delivery schedules across multiple stakeholders.
· Proficiency with common office and document tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF markup tools).
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience supporting programs in defense, aerospace, or government-contracted industries.
· Familiarity with Configuration Management practices, tools, and workflows.
· Knowledge of security, compliance, and export control requirements.
· Experience improving document templates, processes, or data deliverable workflows.
· Ability to interpret contract requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
· Prior experience coordinating deliverables across cross-functional teams.
