Junior Copywriter (12 Month FTC)

This is a 12 month FTC

This role is part of our Personalised Content team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients!

JOB PURPOSE

As a Junior Copywriter, you will work with us across one of Australia’s leading online marketplaces, eBay, working to produce engaging content that drives people to interact with the site. The work produced for this client will be focussed on production rollout of compelling retail copy across digital marketing and owned content channels. 

The Junior Copywriter plays an integral role in the Creative team, working closely with the Senior Copywriter and the creative team to produce high-quality, efficient creative. This role requires a genuine passion for writing and brand storytelling. You’ll work with a supportive team of creatives, designers, copywriters and account service to deliver design rollout that fulfils client briefs, on time and to DEPT’s high standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce copy for eBay.com.au and related channels
  • Execute client briefs across multiple channels taking into account customer insights and client goals
  • Adhere to the clients' tone of voice and brand guidelines
  • SEO copywriting
  • Research competitors and trends for creative inspiration
  • Collaborate with design and account management teams
  • Contribute to team creative brainstorms

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 0-1 years copywriting experience; a background in agency or brand is preferred
  • Experience in the e-commerce/retail environment a plus
  • Exposure to multi-channel digital copy and brand development; a background in social media content and copywriting preferred
  • Ability to create marketing content that sells
  • Confidence in working with other Copywriters and Editors
  • Readiness to work at a fast pace on large marketing campaigns with many assets
  • An understanding of the importance of consistency across different touchpoints of a user journey
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and enthusiastically
  • A collaborative approach to getting things done
  • A supportive, proactive attitude towards projects
