Our State Aid & EU Funds team provides consulting and advisory services for a wide range of clients – from designing state aid schemes and preparing applications for EU funding programs to compliance and reporting.
We are looking for a Junior Consultant who wants to develop expertise in EU funds and state aid, work on interesting investment projects, and grow into an advisory role.
Work on real business challenges across multiple industries (telecom, energy, finance, digital services).
Be part of a diverse, international team.
Support senior consultants and managers in delivering projects related to state aid and EU funds.
Assist in drafting application forms for various programs (IPCEI, Innovation Fund, LIFE, CEF, HORIZON, RRF, ESIF).
Help prepare state aid schemes and understand legal and timing implications.
Contribute to materials for notifications to the European Commission.
Assist in drafting calls for proposals, including scope, objectives, eligibility criteria, and guidelines for beneficiaries.
Support reporting and monitoring obligations for projects.
Perform data analysis and data management tasks.
Participate in client meetings and learn how to provide advisory input.
Collaborate with the team and gradually take ownership of smaller tasks.
Support financial modeling and data analytics for decision-making.
Contribute to reports, studies, and presentations.
Analyse strategic documents.
1–2 years of relevant experience in consulting, EU funds, state aid, or related areas (internships or project work count).
Basic understanding of EU and national state aid rules (GBER, CEEAG, RAG) or strong motivation to learn.
University degree in economics, finance, law, or technical fields.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in PowerPoint & Excel.
Languages: fluent English (written & spoken); Slovak preferred for communication with local clients.
Team player, eager to learn and grow in an advisory environment.
Nice to have
Interest in financial instruments, energy efficiency projects, or ESG topics.
Hybrid (flexible), with occasional presence in Bratislava and client visits.
Scope: nationwide, team base: Bratislava.
