Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Your role

You will be part of the XVA Desk, also called the Credit Exposure Management in Financial Markets. The XVA desk is responsible for pricing and managing all Credit, Funding, Liquidity and Capital cost within FM. The desk is taking over all counterparty related risks from the Trading Desks and manages these risks centrally. It also acts as the central Funding and Liquidity Desk for Financial Markets.

Financial Markets operates in a high paced environment and is looking for candidates who are flexible, can learn quickly and are able to adapt to the rapidly changing market environment. You will work closely with the other trading team members and interact frequently with IT, Quants, Sales and Risk management

Your key responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, implementation and support of tactical tools requested by the XVA Desk team.
• Work closely with XVA Desk team to understand business requirements in order to design quality technical solutions.
• Analyse CEM portfolio and assist the senior traders with adjusting positions while optimizing revenue and staying within limits at all time.
• Maintain a high focus on the different financial markets and generate trade ideas and potential hedging solutions.
• Build good relationships with other FM desks.
• Cooperate with internal quant teams to build/improve pricing and risk management tools.
• Use data analysis to improve trading risk management.

As a junior XVA trader/ Front Office developer you will also need:

• a master degree in finance, economics, mathematics or applied sciences
• excellent analytical skills
• knowledge in VBA, Python, C++, Bloomberg
• the ability to take decisions under pressure and maintain the highest level of accuracy in performing the relevant tasks
• to have a proactive behaviour with perpetual energy and drive to improve performance
• fluent in English
• to be a genuine team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
