This is an exceptional opportunity to become an integral part of our Company Secretarial team at WPP.  You will play a crucial role in supporting our Board Support Lead, ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of first-class company secretarial services to the WPP Board.

What You'll Be Doing:

 As a Junior Board Support, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Board & Committee Coordination: Assisting with the end-to-end coordination of meetings for the WPP plc Board and its Committees (Audit, Compensation, Sustainability, Nomination & Governance), including scheduling, logistics, and venue bookings (both UK and international).
  • Calendar & Event Management: Supporting the maintenance of the annual Board and committee meeting calendar, coordinating director availability, and assisting with the organisation of Board dinners and events, including liaison with external suppliers.
  • Document Management: Preparing, collating, and distributing accurate and timely meeting papers.
  • Travel & Information Dissemination: Coordinating travel arrangements for Board members and assisting with the distribution of relevant information (e.g., press clippings, investor updates) using platforms like Diligent.
  • Administrative & Financial Support: Providing comprehensive administrative assistance to the Chair, Non-Executive Directors, and the wider Company Secretarial (CoSec) team, including diary management, correspondence, invoice processing, and expense filing.
  • AGM & Logistical Coordination: Assisting with the planning and logistics for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and coordinating with building staff (hospitality, reception, security) for event requirements, visitor management, and onboarding new Non-Executive Directors.

What you'll need:

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in a relevant administrative, or support role, ideally within a corporate environment.
  • Exceptional Organisation: Outstanding organisational skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability & Proactivity: A flexible and adaptable approach to change, with the ability to support and encourage others through transitions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness, with the confidence to work independently and build constructive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor your style and approach to different audiences and messages.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with document management platforms (e.g., AdobeSign or similar).
