Role Summary

We are seeking a Junior Analytics Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with strong SQL and Python fundamentals who is interested in data modeling, automation, and AI-assisted engineering workflows. You will support the development of scalable data pipelines and analytics-ready datasets while collaborating closely with engineers and business stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to grow your analytics engineering skills while contributing to impactful data initiatives.

 

What You’ll Do
  • Support the development and maintenance of semantic data models used for scalable analytics and reporting.
  • Help build and improve automated data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering data.
  • Work with dbt Cloud to support data transformation, testing, documentation, and workflow automation.
  • Use notebooks and analytical workflows to perform quality control, exploratory analysis, and data validation.
  • Translate business questions into clean, analytics-ready datasets for dashboards and downstream applications.
  • Collaborate with analytics engineers, data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to support data-driven initiatives.
 
What You Need
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying, transforming, and validating data.
  • Working knowledge of Python for scripting, analysis, and basic pipeline development.
  • Foundational understanding of data modeling, transformation, and data quality concepts.
  • Experience using notebooks for analytical workflows, testing, and validation.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-generated code to ensure quality and correctness.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and eagerness to learn quickly.
 
Professional Experience Required
  • Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience, including internships, academic projects, or early-career roles in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or software engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience working with analytics, pipelines, data modeling, data transformation, or visualization tools.
 
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and prompt engineering.
  • Experience with cloud and data ecosystem tools such as Snowflake, Apache Spark, Kafka, AWS, or S3.
  • Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools such as Sisense, D3, or Ogma.
  • Experience with developer tools such as VS Code, Cursor, OpenAI tools, Claude, or Antigravity.
  • Exposure to trade, supply chain, or supply chain risk domains.
