Junior Analyst - Financial Market Data

ISS STOXX is growing! We are looking for an analytically minded and technically savvy individual to join our growing Data Organization. Ideal candidates will have a high level of independent judgment, an incredible attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment both in a team setting and autonomously.

This will be under Market Intelligence MarketPulse Total Market Team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance and ongoing maintenance of an automated data pipeline by validating data sourced from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Review and validate quarterly data updates to identify data inconsistencies such as missing, duplicate, or incorrect records.
• Participate in data quality assurance efforts, including performing root-cause analysis, for identified data quality issues.
• Contribute to desk research efforts using various sources to maintain up-to-date database for a variety of products in the fund industry.
• Effectively utilize ISS-Stoxx databases, internal applications, regulatory websites, and the Internet to complete research.
• Support relevant process improvement and technology projects by contributing to specifications and testing deliverables.
• Help maintain documentation of work processes and institutional knowledge in a centralized, web-based database.
• Actively cross-train and take on opportunities to work on various data processing and research responsibilities across different ISS-Stoxx databases.
• Special projects as assigned

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field.
• Advanced Excel skills required to manipulate and analyze large data sets
• Possesses strong problem-solving skills and demonstrates troubleshooting, follow-through, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural work environment.
• Knowledge of mutual fund, annuity, and/or insurance industry is a plus

Work Location & Schedule:

• Amenable working at Makati City on a permanent late dayshift schedule (12nn- 9pm, Manila Time)

• Amenable to undergo 3-6 months of onsite training prior to transitioning to hybrid working arrangement

• Hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days' work onsite per week)
