Job Description & Summary

We are looking for a curious, flexible, and independent colleague to strengthen our multidisciplinary Root Cause & Research team! This position is ideal for a recent graduate who wants to develop in conducting root cause analyses, is interested in organizational dynamics and behavior, enjoys conducting research on a scientific basis and is motivated to learn from experienced colleagues in a dynamic environment. 

Your role
You will be engaged in conducting Root Cause Analyses and various other types of research within the (inter)national Assurance practice of PwC, focusing on improvement of our quality. Your work will include analyzing quality findings and a variety of issues, such as learning from mistakes and themes around effectiveness. You will actively contribute to drafting improvement proposals and raising quality standards. An important part of this is as well measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of these measures. 

Within your analyses, you will work with various Root Cause Analysis Themes, such as human behavior and decision-making, work processes and procedures, communication and collaboration, leadership and culture, and the design and support of systems and resources. 

You will also strengthen our team by carrying out external assignments where we help clients with Root Cause Analyses and provide targeted advice on quality improvements and organizational culture. 

Who you are

  • You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in social sciences (Psychology, Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology), Public Administration, Business Administration or another relevant fields; 

  • You have an understanding of the audit profession and an audit organization, or you are open gaining this essential understanding; 

  • You possess strong analytical skills and the ability to comprehend complex issues; 

  • You have good communication skills, both verbal and written, and you are able to present results clearly; 

  • You have experience and affinity with conducting qualitative research such as interviews and (focus) group discussions; 

  • You have experience with quantitative research (knowledge of PowerBI, Excel, and Alteryx is a plus); 

  • You speak and write Dutch and English fluently; 

  • You are able to work effectively both in a team and independently, and you are strong in building connections and maintaining relationships; 

  • You enjoy working together and contribute to an open, safe and inquisitive team culture.
