Position Summary:

We are seeking a Junior Administrator to join our global team within the Human Resources (HR) department at AstraZeneca. These positions, based in our Lisbon office, will provide administrative support to the senior leaders of the HR function.

As the initial point of contact for many of our HR Senior Leaders, these roles play a crucial part in shaping the reputation of the department. The fast-paced and dynamic environment requires resilience and adaptability.

As a member of a team , you will be responsible for responding to both routine and urgent business-critical requests across multiple time zones.

Main Duties:

  • In your role supporting the HR Leadership Team's PAs and HR Senior Leaders, you will be responsible for coordinating appointments, arranging travel, and processing expense reports. These tasks must be performed with the highest level of professionalism and attention to detail to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

  • This role involves providing support for both processes and projects as needed. Responsible for ensuring that all inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally, and supporting the facilitation and smooth operation of global and local departmental activities.

  • Technical proficiency is required to schedule and facilitate meetings and teleconferences using various platforms, including video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom. By adopting a learning mindset, you will be able to effectively utilize technology to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among participants. Well versed in office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 

  • You will be trained as a SuperUser in AstraZeneca's processes and systems, you will serve as the primary contact for the creation and tracking of purchase orders for the HR department.

Essential Requirements:

  • Effective communication of information, both verbally and written as required.

  • Operation of standard office equipment

  • Numerate and accurate

  • Keyboard skills and knowledge of relevant software

  • Basic Customer Service skills

  • Telephone skills

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Good Microsoft office skills, candidate must be proficient or willing to learn Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Works well independently and as a team member

  • Driven to strive for solutions with a “can-do” attitude.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous administrative support experience in Human Resources or global organisation
