Junior Accountant General Ledger & Fixed Assets (m/f/d)

We are the world market leader for reusable packaging containers (RPCs) for fresh food and are constantly optimizing our products.

We help make the food supply cycle for the population more sustainable. With our RPCs, safety for food transport is improved, there is less waste of food and at the same time the lifespan of the products increases. Through our products and the need for less packaging materials we reduce the carbon footprint.

Key responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Postings – Perform general ledger postings and support daily accounting activities.
  • Monthly Closing Support – Support monthly closing processes, including intercompany reconciliation, accounts clearing, and depreciation tasks.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation – Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • AUC Settlement Management – Manage the settlement process from AUC to final fixed assets.
  • Period-End Closing Assistance – Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Financial Statements & Audit Support – Support the preparation of financial statements and internal/external audits.
  • Documentation & Compliance – Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with internal controls and compliance.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure complete financial data.
  • Process Improvement Initiatives – Contribute to process improvements within the General Ledger area.

We expect:

  • Educational Background – College degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional Experience – Initial experience in accounting, gained through university studies, internships, or early employment.
  • Technical Skills – Familiarity with SAP FI is a strong advantage, advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Communication & Collaboration – Strong interpersonal skills and a cooperative mindset, comfortable working in an international environment.
  • Accuracy & Accountability – High attention to detail with a reliable and responsible work approach.
  • Cultural Awareness – Team player with sensitivity to diverse company and country cultures.
  • Flexibility – Willingness to travel during the onboarding phase if required.
  • Language Skills – Fluent in English and any additional European languages are a plus.
