Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth legal research on a broad range of civil, criminal, and constitutional issues.
Draft bench memoranda, opinions, and other legal documents under the supervision of the Justice.
Review petitions for allowance of appeal and assist in preparing recommendations.
Analyze case records and legal briefs to identify relevant facts and legal arguments.
Participate in discussions with the Justice regarding case disposition.
Provide support on administrative and procedural matters as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school (or anticipated graduation prior to start date).
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong academic record.
Demonstrated interest in appellate law and judicial decision-making.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (preferred but not required at the time of hire).
