JOB POSITION

Responsible for managing the overall vendor performance per contractual service level agreements (SLA) and ensures vendor conformity to enterprise standards, operational processes, and management guidelines to ensure business goals are achieved for an enterprise function. Acts as single point of accountability for internal and external business partners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Responsible for managing the overall vendor performance per contractual service level agreements (SLA) and ensures vendor conformity to enterprise standards, operational processes, and management guidelines to ensure business goals are achieved for an enterprise function. Acts as single point of accountability for internal and external business partners.
  • Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
  • Defines and oversees the execution of complex vendor management and implementation strategy for a defined set of vendors.
  • Manages the execution of vendor agreements to ensure compliance, monitor quality, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Proactively develops effective business relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and key decision makers to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Responsible for the development and ongoing management of one or more implementation programs that are multi-state, multi-function, and multi-year in scope.
  • Directs the development, planning, prioritization, approval, implementation, and compliance of on-going vendor programs.
  • Establishes program governance when needed to assure response to issue escalation; ensures program meets its stated objectives.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in response to strategic business issues; research applicable subject matter practices; and remains aware of industry trends.
  • Drives continuous improvement activities and implementations across functional areas.
  • Recommends and implements vendor parameters regarding vendor production and quality in support of business objectives.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field. 5-10 years of Sourcing, Process improvement, inventory management, contract management, vendor management, project management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

EXPERIENCE

  • 4-9 years of Process improvement, contract management, vendor management, project management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Possesses demonstrated experience working with Clinical Sourcing especially Rx and Contract management, Vendor Management for categories including Pharmacy and Clinical. Comfortable in speaking with and negotiating directly with vendor sales teams on behalf of Elevance (where applicable).

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Assists in Vendor Management and Sourcing team to meet the contractual requirements. By establishing regular contract administrative activities, improve supplier performance and mitigate the risk.
  • Assists in establishing contract management objectives and annual goals. Identifies, investigates, and resolves contractual/service deliverables issues, and provides oversight and assistance with procedure guidelines. Resolves rebuttal issues, provides ongoing feedback to the respective teams regarding the performance of the suppliers.
