YOUR ROLE
This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment.
As a System Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation of ADAS products.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the products and technology meet customer and
regulatory requirements. You will manage customer communication, requirements, and expectations
throughout the product development lifecycle.
Your Role
• Design, develop, and validate new products and technology
• Ensure that system features and deliverables are completed on time per Aptiv quality standards
• Follow APTIV design standards, guidelines, best practices, procedures and policies
• Ensure the logical and systematic transformation of requirements into a total system solution
• Contribute to requirement analysis, system architecture, and feature integration / verification
• Convert customer requirements into product requirements and design specification
• Manage and track system features to ensure high quality delivery on-time
• Drive process, procedure, and methodology improvements to optimize and continuously improve work efficiency
Your Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, electrical, or related field of study)
• Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge
• Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity
• Ability to effectively manage several projects at once
• Strong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profile
• Knowledge of programming (C or other language)
• Familiarity with embedded systems designs
• Familiarity with system/software development processes (Automotive SPICE) and tools
• Experience with embedded hardware and serial communication tools
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with low level drivers - SPI, I2C, and/or Ethernet
drivers
• Experience with developing SW on microcontrollers (e.g. Renesas, Infineon, Freescale, TI,
Qualcomm, etc.
