What you will be doing?

Provides general, entry-level support to the engineering department on daily basis or on assigned projects. Verifies and tests assigned metrics on projects. Makes sure of complying with Quality Systems requirements. Identifies potential areas of improvement; recommends one/ assists with the development of

  • Comply with the annual corporate objectives to achieve the established goals and positively impact the company's financial results. (continuous)
  • Prepare validations of equipment, fixtures, or basic processes (IQ/ OQ/ PQ / PPQ) to ensure the correct implementation in the manufacturing line.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to achieve a more stable process. Maintain good communication with the Operational Personnel to coordinate and give good support regarding tools and equipment.
  • Production Support: you must work directly with production lines that have equipment, tools, or fixtures which are used for the manufacture of the product and are open to possible wear or failures which would be a cause of increased scrap, delays in the release of the product including the preparation of necessary documents such as NCs investigations, rework instructions, etc. Give priority to controlling and reducing process variation.
  • Components and raw material: Support must be given to different issues that may arise regarding the material used for the final product assembly, trying not to affect production, and solving the problem in the shortest possible time.
  • Scrap reduction and improvement in the FPY: At the time the product is transferred to the production line, it must be ensured and look for possible improvements so that the process is as stable as possible and have the least amount of rework or component changes possible.
  • Promote and maintain a close relationship with the Quality Department to work as a team on different decision-making related to specifications, raw materials, plans and final product.

Documentation creation or changes (Work Instructions, Routers, BOM's, pFMEAs, ECNs, Non-Conformities Reports, Lab Notebooks, Engineering

  • Carry out engineering studies.
  • Improvements or redesigns of fixtures.
  • Participation in the 5'S Program, SPC or any other program defined by the company to improve productivity or processes in general.
  • Performance indicators.
  • For its respective Clean Room - Continuous Improvement in: Yield, Scrap, FPQ levels.
  • Complete Objectives or projects fulfilling the allotted period.
  • Work as a team with all the departments of the Corporation to facilitate the flow of information, both external and internal, or as required.
  • Understand and use basic SAP functions to get the necessary daily information.
  • Respect the human integrity of each employee of the company to achieve an excellent work environment.
  • Follow all the requirements written in the Corporation's Induction Manuals, Safety, Quality, Internal Policies, and any other internal requirements of the company.
  • Ability to work with people of all levels.
  • Comply with all the requirements, tasks, and obligations from our Quality Management System. This includes the adequate management of the program of both corrective and preventive actions, strict adherence and compliance with all quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Comply with the implementation of the Occupational Health standards and programs established by the company, through compliance with those recommendations to carry out work safely, use of personal protective equipment, as well as communicate the company about improvements to avoid incidents or occupational diseases, which could harm the integrity of the workers and/ or the facilities and assets of the company.
  • Responsible for safeguarding all documents, confidential information, equipment, tools, raw materials, products, or other assets directly related to your work area, to avoid incidents that affect the productivity and distribution of our products that could cause an economic impact to the company or a breach with our customers, suppliers, shareholders and/ or other key audiences
  • If required train personnel in process changes.

☒  Competencies:

  • Knowledge of MS Office packages such as: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Desirable knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practices (BPM), 5s and Lean.
  • Desirable knowledge in design software (SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • Desirable knowledge on Minitab or other statistical software.
  • Initiative/ Proactivity.
  • Open-minded and able to face changes in a positive way.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Skill in handling and dealing with personnel.
  • Ability/ Willingness to work in a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships.
  • Mathematical and statistical analysis, Sampling Plans.
  • Geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Validations (IQ/OQ/PQ/PPQ), Creation of Protocols, Transfers.
  • Desirable knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, and Creation of Value Stream Maps (time-motion studies, waste measurement, balance, and line standardization).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving ability and decision-making skills regarding components, documentation, and process changes during manufacturing batch production.
  • Ability to raise technical problems to the Manager of Engineering, Production, Quality, and their respective counterparts in the R&D Area (Research and Development), and other support areas as required.
