Job Summary**
As a Jr. Automation Engineer III at Jabil, Inc., you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity within our manufacturing and operational environments. You will work under guidance to support complex automation projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technological infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities**
* Participate in the commissioning and troubleshooting of automated equipment and processes on the production floor.
*Hands on experience on Fanuc robot operations.
* Support senior engineers in analyzing existing processes and identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.
* Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including schematics, operating procedures, and training materials.
* Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration of automated machinery and sensors.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality, to ensure successful project execution and system integration.
* Perform root cause analysis for automation-related issues and implement corrective actions.
* Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in automation engineering or a related technical role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Foundational knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
* Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
* Familiarity with robotic systems and vision systems is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
