The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a Journey/Senior Salesforce Architect, Information Technology (REMOTE AVAILABLE) [R0151297].
The Office of Information Technology will consider candidates for either Journey/Senior Architect based on relevant skills and required experience.
The Senior Salesforce Architect provides long-term, strategic, and technical leadership and direction for the university’s Salesforce ecosystem. Reporting to the COE Director, this role designs and governs scalable, secure solutions across Salesforce clouds (with emphasis on Education Cloud) and guides data and integration strategy, including Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud). The Architect partners with campus stakeholders to translate functional needs into trusted, easy, and adaptable technical designs; mentors the COE team; and contributes hands-on configuration and development for complex initiatives, prototypes, and shared accelerators. This role evaluates emerging capabilities (such as Agentforce) and recommends adoption approaches that improve outcomes for students, faculty, and staff.
The Senior Salesforce Architect is expected to:
Serves as a trusted advisor and technical partner to functional leaders, product owners, and delivery teams.
Balance strategic roadmap planning with practical delivery constraints and iterative improvement.
Communicate architecture tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences; facilitate alignment.
Provide expert leadership through influence by mentoring teammates, establishing and reinforcing standards, documentation, and best practices.
The Senior Salesforce Architect has these responsibilities:
Define and maintain target-state architecture, reference patterns, and technical standards for the Salesforce portfolio.
Lead solution design for major initiatives and provide hands-on support for high-complexity build work, prototyping, and troubleshooting as needed.
Partner on enterprise integration and data governance, including data quality, identity resolution, and lifecycle management across systems.
Establish and continuously improve delivery governance (architecture and code/design reviews, release and environment strategy, testing and quality controls) and guide adoption of platform innovations (Education Cloud, Data 360/Data Cloud, Agentforce).
