Essential Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair tailings pipelines, valves, and associated infrastructure
  • Perform bolt up, rigging, and hydro testing 
  • Execute rigging operations including lifting, hoisting, and positioning pipe sections
  • Assemble and install piping sections according to blueprints and job specifications 
  • Work closely with a skilled team of pipefitters and welders in a safety-first environment
  • Perform physically demanding tasks
  • Use testing equipment to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors 
  • Work safely around heavy equipment in an active mine

Requirements

  • Must have a Journeyperson Pipefitter certification
  • Experience on industrial construction or pipeline projects
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing 
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to problem solve 
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies 
  • Valid class 5 driver's license

Work Conditions

  • 14 days on, 14 days off, working 12 hours per day with possibility of extended hours as available 
  • Site based camp accommodations provided  
  • Charter flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary 
  • Extended health and wellness benefits provided by CLAC 
  • Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
