We are tech transformation specialists, uniting human expertise with AI to create scalable tech solutions.
With over 8,000 CI&Ters around the world, we’ve built partnerships with more than 1,000 clients during our 30 years of history. Artificial Intelligence is our reality.
As CI&T continues to scale its data practice, we are seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Data Portfolio Manager to join our team and drive strategic oversight of a growing and complex data & analytics portfolio. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between multiple data teams and executive leadership, ensuring that the right work is being done in the right way — and that its value is clearly communicated across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong sense of portfolio ownership, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
The Data Portfolio Manager will be 100% dedicated to the account and will oversee a portfolio spanning approximately 6 data teams, covering Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, and traditional Analytics. This position requires a unique blend of strategic vision, agile fluency, stakeholder management, and people leadership. The successful candidate does not need to be a deep technical data expert, but must have a genuine affinity with the data & AI space and a solid understanding of what drives value in data initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Visibility & Executive Reporting: Build and maintain up-to-date executive-level materials (decks, dashboards, status reports) that communicate the Data & Analytics area's work, progress, and value to PepsiCo leadership in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ways of Working & Agile Governance: Ensure all data and AI teams (~6 teams) consistently follow recommended agile methodologies and best practices in Azure DevOps, including unified sprint cadences and standardized ceremonies.
- Backlog & Prioritization Guidance: Guide Data Product Managers from CI&T and partner consultancies on how to prioritize backlog items based on business value, reducing ad hoc and low-impact demands and moving toward a business-oriented backlog model.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary bridge between data delivery teams and PepsiCo's business and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables across all workstreams.
- People Leadership: Share people management duties with CI&T peers, including supporting hiring processes, conducting interviews, providing absence guidance, and contributing to the professional development and engagement of team members.
- PDM Coverage: Play a Product Data Manager (PDM) role when needed, supporting team leadership with product-level decisions and ensuring data products are developed with a clear value proposition.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Promote visibility and collaboration across CI&T teams and other consultancies operating within the PepsiCo data ecosystem (e.g., Indícium, Acesso), reducing silos and fostering integrated portfolio management.
- Governance & Process Structuring: Support the ongoing structuring of data governance processes, including the rollout of AIOps practices, PI planning, and unified sprint models across all teams.
- Risk & Escalation Management: Identify risks, blockers, and capacity issues across the portfolio proactively, escalating appropriately and proposing mitigation strategies to keep delivery on track.
- Onboarding & Context Transfer: Quickly absorb the full complexity of the PepsiCo data landscape — including its teams, stakeholders, tools, and strategic priorities — and maintain institutional knowledge up to date.
Requirements:
- Fluent English communication (C1 or above) — reading, writing, and speaking is mandatory for this position
- Proven experience in Data Product Management or Data Management roles, with a clear evolution toward strategic/portfolio-level responsibilities
- Strong portfolio management mindset: ability to maintain a big-picture view across multiple simultaneous workstreams
- Solid experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or similar), including sprint planning, PI planning, and backlog refinement
- Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar project management and delivery tracking tools
- Demonstrated ability to produce executive-level presentations and communicate complex data initiatives to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong people leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with demanding clients and multi-vendor environments
Nice to Have:
- Experience working within large CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or FMCG companies, or similarly complex enterprise environments
- Familiarity with data architecture concepts (ETL pipelines, dashboards, ML pipelines) — not hands-on, but sufficient to hold informed conversations
- Experience managing or coordinating multi-vendor/multi-consultancy data engagements
- Knowledge of AI/ML project dynamics and how to measure business value from advanced analytics initiatives
- Exposure to OKR frameworks or value-based roadmap planning techniques
- Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools at a product ownership level
