Job Title: Data Product Manager (Contractor)
Location: UK
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Product Manager to oversee the entire lifecycle of our data products, from ideation through development, deployment, and optimization. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive the successful execution of data-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete data lifecycle, from generation to ETL pipelines and data enablement, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Data Architecture & Infrastructure: Understand and evaluate the technical architecture that supports organizational data needs, including storage, integrations, and analytics platforms.
  • Task Prioritization: Collaborate with technical and business teams to identify data needs and priorities. Communicate the value of data initiatives, prioritizing tasks, and defining the product roadmap while balancing competing demands from stakeholders.
  • Data Profiling: Analyze data types, relationships, patterns, and trends to enhance understanding and utilization of data assets.
  • Requirements Definition: Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather and document clear, specific, and achievable data requirements, ensuring a focus on how data should be presented for consumption.
  • Business Process Understanding: Gain insights into business workflows to make informed assumptions regarding data sources, entities, and attributes needed to address business questions.
  • Validation & User Feedback: Validate product offerings with users to ensure alignment with their needs and expectations, utilizing data and metrics for informed decision-making.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze product performance through metrics and KPIs, using data-driven insights to track the effectiveness of data initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • AI Integration: Support the incorporation of AI into team workflows to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and analytics specialists, to deliver high-quality data products. Focus on attracting, retaining, and developing top data talent while mentoring and fostering growth opportunities within the team.
  • Project Management: Apply project management methodologies to define and manage project roadmaps, timelines, requirements, and assumptions effectively.
Requirements:
  • Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Experience working with international clients.
  • Proven background in the data and analytics domain.
  • Previous experience in project management.
  • Strong strategic thinking and product mindset.
  • Familiarity with value-based prioritization and risk management.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in Data Platforms, Data Visualization, or Data Migration.
  • Familiarity with major Azure Cloud Platform services.
  • Experience in migrating data platforms to the cloud.
  • Knowledge of building data platforms both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Proficiency with operational tools such as Hubspot, Workday, Segment, or Braze.
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and applications.
