Summary

Performs administrative duties in support of activities related to import and export of products and raw materials. Communicates and coordinates with transportation companies. Handles routine questions and problems and maintains open communication with other departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle. Timely confirms the accuracy of invoices, bills and charges relative to the shipment of goods. Logs order information into the computer and files and distributes paperwork as necessary. Maintains records and generates reports for accounting and other areas.

Job Description

•  Communicates effectively and timely with Trade Compliance to avoid potential import/export risks;

•  Communicates effectively and timely with other relevant departments; gets familiar with products and materials: collects product information and understands emergency situations, implements import and export business operation in compliance with customs laws, regulations and policies, including making import and export documents, preparing materials required for inspection and customs clearance, so as to ensure the smooth progress of supply for production and products repair;

•  Tracks import and export goods throughout the whole process of shipment, communicates and coordinates in time until the goods arrives at the factory;

•  Reports emergencies of import and export in the first time;

•  Customs clearance time control and broker/forwarder performance management;

•  Domestic transportation arrangement; import and export and logistics cost analysis (including tax, inspection and other fees, transportation expenses, etc.), related ledger preparation;

•  Timely online payment of import tax; coordinates with suppliers and finance department for monthly payment list check, payment plan and payment status;

•  Support to make the monthly report; and other assignments may be required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATIONS

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge

  • knowledge of import and export customs affairs and logistics;
  • Effective interpersonal communication and coordination skills;
  • Quick response capacity;
  • Strong teaming skills;
  • Good written communication skills in English is preferred;
  • Work experience in medical device industry is preferred;

Required Certifications and Training

  • Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.
  • Working on CPM certification

Experience Level with Business Tools

  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as:  E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Typical Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 2- 5 years of related experience.
