Java Software Engineer

Eclipse Trading is a leading proprietary trading firm. Founded in 2007, we have over 120 employees across 4 office locations – Hong Kong (our HQ), Sydney, Shanghai and Chicago. Our trading expertise and strategies are deployed across several markets globally, focusing on various products including equity derivatives, delta one, ETFs, commodity derivatives, and cryptocurrency. We are seeking a skilled Java Engineer to join our Framework & Trading Systems Development team which is responsible for Eclipse Trading's in-house derivatives trading system, spanning order execution, derivative pricing, risk management, P&L and real-time data transformation and distribution layers. This is an on-site role based in our Sydney office. Candidates with more experience may be considered as Senior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions to manage orders, price derivatives, manage risk and real-time data transformation and distribution
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Engage with traders and quants on a regular basis to gather business and system requirements
• Contribute to the next generation of our trading system to support growing volumes, increased automation and new asset classes, through green field development and refactoring of existing code bases with modern technologies (Java 21, Kafka)
• Provide Tier 3 support as needed

What you offer
