Job Description Summary
The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for the following activities under the direction and guidance of the Account Director:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of employees within the shift and assigned buildings. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable State and Federal laws.
Assist in managing the overall activities of a project(s), and supervises the project crew.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate services activities for assigned buildings. Ensure that services are performed as contracted and meet customer specifications.
- Maintain and monitor work schedules of all shift personnel, including the preparation and submission of weekly payroll time sheets.
- Establish and maintain work performance standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory, as well as general use of equipment, including key controls.
- Perform snow removal services.
- Resolve on-site service delivery problems.
- Participate in ongoing management and technical skills development training programs, including safety and site safety committee involvement.
- Conduct orientation for new employees and develop employees’ skills and abilities.
- Complete conference room setups and occasional internal moves as needed.
- Maintain effective, ongoing customer relations.
- Perform weekly inspections and safety walks/observations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- One to three years of supervisory experience, with up-to-date knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the management of the site account. Specific responsibilities include:
- Work scheduling of all shift personnel
- Establishing work standards in conjunction with the Manager
- Conducting site evaluations and audits
- Managing inventory and equipment usage
- Budget control
- Employee evaluations
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Orientation and safety training of personnel
- Customer relations
- Payroll (time sheets, check distribution)
- Special project work as requested
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Motivated, proactive individual
- Background check required
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $20.40 - $24.00
