Get to Know our Team:   

The Global Service Delivery (GSD) team is responsible for Agoda's office infrastructure and staff connectivity. We provide the hardware, software, and access to resources that allow staff to achieve their goals. We operate in 10 different countries, providing 24/7 support to all Agoda employees. Whether in the office, working remotely, or traveling, we enable everyone to stay connected. The GSD team uses state-of-the-art cloud management technologies combined with the best on-site services to manage the latest hardware running Windows, macOS, and Linux.    

 

This role can be based in Bangkok, Gurgaon or Kuala Lumpur 

 

The Opportunity:  

As a Workday Payroll Specialist, you will serve as the primary expert ensuring our core Payroll processes operate seamlessly, with a focus on scaling and enhancing the setup in alignment with organizational requirements. While Payroll will be your core area, you will also contribute across other domains and additional HRIS platforms to strengthen our overall People Technology foundation. 

You’ll partner closely with People and IT teams to deliver scalable solutions, optimize existing processes, and explore new ways Workday and other tools can bring value to the organization.

This role will be based in Bangkok and relocation will be provided.  

In this Role, you'll get to:   

  • Configure, maintain, and support Workday Payroll interfaces/outputs, including functional setup for PECI 

  • Partner closely with Payroll stakeholders and vendors to align on requirements, mapping, cutoffs, exception handling, and ongoing operational improvements 

  • Build and maintain Workday payroll reporting (Advanced Reports, Calculated Fields, dashboards) 

  • Support Workday-side troubleshooting during payroll cycles, including investigating data issues, supporting file generation/extract issues, and collaborating on root-cause analysis with integration/vendor teams 

  • Own documentation and enablement for Workday payroll processes, including control checklists, mapping notes, SOPs, and knowledge transfer to strengthen team resiliency. 

  • Stay current on Workday releases and recommend enhancements/automation to reduce payroll cycle time, defects, and manual effort on the Workday side 

What you'll Need to Succeed:  

  • 4 - 6 years of hands-on Workday experience, with at least 2–3 years supporting payroll-related Workday delivery and third-party payroll providers 

  • Hands-on experience with Workday PECI and/or EPI (per your environment): managing extracts/outputs, effective-dated events, filters, timing, and operational support 

  • Strong proficiency in Workday reporting for payroll (Advanced Reporting, Calculated Fields), creating reliable outputs for readiness checks, reconciliation support, and audit needs 

  • Solid understanding of payroll input drivers in Workday (HCM/Comp/Time/Absence impacts), especially effective dating, retroactivity implications, and data integrity 

  • Working knowledge of Workday Security and handling sensitive payroll-related data with appropriate controls 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: data tracing, root-cause analysis, and clear communication of findings/impacts to Payroll stakeholders 

  • Strong collaboration skills and stakeholder management; comfortable operating as the Workday owner while partnering tightly with Payroll and vendors 

It's Great if you have:  

  • Understanding of how Workday data typically feeds into downstream systems (payroll providers like Cloudpay/ADP) and what validations/cutoffs are commonly required 

  • Familiarity with integration/support practices: monitoring, scheduling, secure file transfer coordination, incident management, and change control. 

  • Experience supporting multi-country payroll inputs from Workday (global complexity, localization considerations. 

  • Experience in payroll-related testing: UAT support, regression support for Workday changes, parallel run support (Workday outputs and validation reports)
