As a IT Vendor Analyst on the Technology team, a typical day for you will include:

  • Support RFI and RFP process for vendor selection of for technology products and software, outsourcing vendors and other IT services, infrastructure, cloud vendor and other enterprise solutions.
  • Conduct market research to invite for RFP and define objective selective criteria and scoring parameters.
  • Negotiate pricing and business contract terms with the vendors. Support bidding process to evaluate reasonable pricing. Have industry knowledge on acceptable business and IT terms. Negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes for both parties.
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate how IT Vendors perform against a set of performance and value metrics.
  • Have industry best practices knowledge on Performance SLAs. Ability to Negotiate SLAs to meet business expectations, manage and track SLAs and other Key Performance Indicators for each business-critical vendor.
  • Direct communication with vendors on overall performance through formal and informal channels. Support QBRs with the appropriate leadership audience. Guide vendors on QBR expectations and report out.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CIO and vendors to effectively work together, communicate, collaborate, and resolve issues. Support the escalation process for conflict/performance resolution.
  • Manage IT contracts, statement of works, scope changes, and performance against the IT contracts including compliance over the life cycle of the contractual arrangement.
  • Manage relationships to ensure that customer-vendor interaction results in positive outcomes.

(Required qualifications)

  • Experience:
    • 3 or more years’ experience with negotiating and managing contract life cycles, with an emphasis on technology or IT service agreements
    • 3 or more years’ experience in vendor performance management
    • Experience in managing contracts in one or more IT categories, including hardware, software, and service.
    • Experience working across multiple departments and teams.

  • Skills:
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
    • Strong persuasive skills, consensus/support building
    • Strong strategic, analytical, and project management skills
    • Excellent organization skills and ability to effectively multi-task
    • Ability to create processes that drive efficiency across the vendor management process
    • Mathematical skills to be comfortable in dealing with business mathematics, including calculating prices, fees and discounts.
    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Education:
    • 4-year college degree required
  • Schedule / in-office requirements:
    • Open to fully remote if not local.
    • Hybrid working model; Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday/Friday from home if local to DFW.
