Your Role in Synergy's Success

The IT Support Specialist serves as the primary onsite technical resource for the Hamilton, Ohio facility, supporting office staff, production teams, and OT-adjacent systems. This role provides Tier I–II support across hardware, software, networking, and cloud services while contributing to enterprise technology initiatives. The position requires strong customer service skills, technical troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with systems infrastructure, engineering, and global IT teams. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and eager to grow into higher level system or OT support responsibilities.

How You Will Contribute

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests submitted via phone, email, or ticketing system

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices

  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and system access via Active Directory and Microsoft 365

  • Coordinate IT onboarding for new employees, ensuring all equipment and access is in place from day one

  • Maintain system security through regular patching, updates, and adherence to IT policies

  • Document resolutions and contribute to the IT knowledge base to support ongoing team efficiency

  • Collaborate with IT colleagues on infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Escalate complex issues appropriately and manage follow-through to full resolution

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk capacity

  • Proven troubleshooting ability across Windows-based environments

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint

  • Experience administering user accounts in Active Directory

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users

  • Ability to independently prioritise and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience supporting users within a manufacturing or production environment

  • Foundational knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP

  • Relevant professional certification such as CompTIA A+ or Network+

  • Familiarity with ITSM or ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or Zendesk

Education

An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be given equal consideration. We evaluate candidates on the strength of their skills and demonstrated experience.

Work Environment & Travel

This role is primarily based at our Hamilton, OH facility, with hybrid flexibility available. Occasional travel to our Wauconda, IL and Chicago, IL sites may be required. The position operates within a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside colleagues across operations, quality, and commercial functions.

Salary Range: $74,500-100,500

The compensation offered will be commensurate with the candidate’s skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors. This position will remain open until filled.
