Join our dedicated IT team at King Edward VII’s Hospital and play a vital role in supporting exceptional patient care.
As a 1st Line IT Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for all technical enquiries, helping clinical and non‑clinical staff stay connected, productive, and focused on delivering outstanding healthcare.
From troubleshooting devices and resolving login issues to setting up new users and supporting essential Microsoft 365 applications, you’ll ensure staff receive timely, high‑quality assistance when they need it most.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for IT issues, delivering fast, friendly front‑line support across clinical and non‑clinical areas.
Log, triage, and resolve incidents efficiently, escalating when needed.
Troubleshoot devices, printers, telephony, and Microsoft 365 applications.
Support user access needs including logins, MFA, and account setup.
Assist with hardware deployment, basic network checks, and IT housekeeping.
Provide clear communication and excellent customer service at all times.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Windows 11, desktop support, and Microsoft 365.
Confident troubleshooting hardware, peripherals, and common user issues.
Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi‑Fi).
Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
Calm, patient, and professional under pressure.
Accurate ticket logging and strong attention to detail.
Proactive, team‑focused, and eager to learn new technical skills.
Reliable, flexible, and committed to high‑quality service delivery.
