Introduction to role:
Join our Global SAP support and delivery function as a Summer Intern and gain invaluable experience supporting a complex SAP landscape within a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation. This 12-week placement offers a unique opportunity to contribute to business improvement initiatives spread across multiple SAP applications which support our existing estate and which are undergoing significant change through our ambitious S/4HANA transformation programme.
Based on-site at our UK Macclesfield office, you'll work alongside senior application engineering and project delivery professionals, gaining hands-on experience with enterprise SAP systems that support critical global pharmaceutical operations. You'll be involved in functional activities, contributing to projects spanning multiple SAP domains across Operations and Finance.
This role provides exceptional exposure to cutting-edge technologies including S/4HANA, BTP cloud applications, advanced analytics with SAC and Datasphere, and existing systems supporting global pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain operations. You'll develop practical and professional skills through exposure to working in a highly regulated industry environment whilst delivering meaningful improvements to real business challenges.
Accountabilities
Your specific assignments will be determined closer to the time of the internship, but you can expect to be involved in the following types of activities:
Functional Support: Provide functional support for SAP applications assisting with system queries, analysis, testing and documentation
Project Contribution: Support project activities such as functional analysis, solution design, build and system testing activities, related to the S/4HANA transformation programme or other high-value business process improvement initiatives, delivering assigned tasks to agreed timelines
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with application engineers, project delivery leads and business stakeholders both within the UK and across our technology centres based in India and Mexico.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute innovative ideas to enhance SAP application support and delivery
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to pharmaceutical industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organisational quality frameworks
Essential Criteria
Currently undertaking a digital business management/strategy degree with SAP focus
Experience with SAP ERP systems (either S4 or ECC) and/or Analytics.
Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application.
Must have UK right-to-work status.
Must return to schooling at program close (candidates graduating before/during the programmes are ineligible)
