Overview of the Role
As the IT Specialist, Integration and Automation at Saputo, you will be a senior integration resource responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and optimizing integration solutions that connect SAP systems with internal and external enterprise applications.
This role plays a critical part in enabling seamless data flow, business process automation, and system interoperability across the organization’s digital landscape. Working closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, architects, and external partners, the specialist ensures integrations are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business objective.
Your contributions will be essential for Saputo to continuously improve, innovate, and sustain our existing SAP ECC system, and eventually SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP platform.

How you will make contributions that matter:
Reporting to the IT Integration & Automation Senior Manager, you will be responsible for:
Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using approved integration platforms and standards.
Enable end-to-end business process integration across ERP, cloud applications, legacy systems, and external partners.
Translate business and functional requirements into technical integration designs and implementation plans.
Ensure integration solutions meet performance, reliability, security, and compliance requirements.
Provide operational support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for integration issues.
Contribute to the evolution of enterprise integration architecture, standards, and best practices.
Support SAP upgrades, enhancements, cloud migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
Reviewing and solidifying the technical soundness and feasibility of solutions documented in the Functional Specification Documents (FSDs)
Creating and maintaining the Technical Specification Designs (TSDs) that summarize the different SAP integration objects we have implemented or modified
Troubleshooting incidents and issues across all SAP environments including Production
Provide on-call production support as part of a rotational schedule, including incident triage and resolution.
Actively coaching and mentoring your developer teammates, and at times assist them with their respective tasks whenever they encounter significant challenges and roadblocks
You are best suited for this role if you have the following qualifications:
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Integration Suite, SAP CPI, SAP PO/PI, SAP BTP) are a strong asset.
Experience
5+ years of experience in enterprise application integration, with a strong focus on SAP environments.
Hands-on experience integrating SAP ERP (ECC and/or S/4HANA) with cloud and on-premise applications.
Experience supporting integrations in large, complex enterprise environments.
Proven experience across the full integration lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, and support.
Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or hybrid delivery environments.
Technical Skills
Expertise in SAP Integration Suite (Cloud platform Integration, Integration advisor, API management, TPM, Advanced Event Mesh, Edge Integration cell), SAP PI/PO, ARIBA CIG, and SAP BTP integration services.
Experience with SFTP, JDBC, RFC, AS2, AS4, APIs, REST/SOAP web services, IDocs, RFCs, and event-based integrations.
Exposure to SAP Event Mesh or event-driven architectures (Google Pubsub/Kafka, Solace)
Exposure to MIG/MAGS and EDI mapping developments (X12/EDIFACT) using Integration advisor capabilities
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills related to Interfaces
Knowledge of middleware platforms and integration patterns (ESB, iPaaS).
Proficiency in Groovy, XML, JSON, OData, and XSLT.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (SAP BTP, Azure).
Understanding of security concepts including authentication, authorization, certificates, and encryption.
Experience with monitoring, logging, error handling, and performance tuning.
Hands‑on experience with SAP Ariba CIG integrations to SAP S/4HANA, including mappings, interface monitoring and error handling.
Hands on experience integrating with SaaS platforms such as: Workday, Manhattan WMS, Workforce, Salesforce, SAP Concur with SAP S4 ECC system
Experience with SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF) and SAP Cloud ALM, including centralized integration monitoring and alerting framework for interface monitoring and error handling
Experience with the following is a plus:
Strong expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
Cloud Foundry orgs, spaces, services, routes, and pipelines
Understanding of CAP development and deployment
Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong knowledge of SAP modules and end‑to‑end business processes, including Order‑to‑Cash (OTC), Logistics (LOG), Procure‑to‑Pay (PTP), Production & Transportation Management (PTM), and Human Resources (HR)
As part of his/her duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders across Saputo divisions.
