Major Duties:

  • You will provide cybersecurity analysis for information system assessment processes for all Navy IT systems, sites, and networks requiring assessment under the DON Cybersecurity policy.
  • You will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the cybersecurity assessment processes for the Navy IT systems (GENSER and below) as defined in OPNAVINST 5239.1 series.
  • You will provide cybersecurity assessment support and guidance throughout the system life cycle collaborating with all assessment stakeholders on cybersecurity matters; as well as collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will apply theories, principles, practical concepts, processes and systems related to systems engineering in an engineering and operational environment.
  • You will analyze and study performance requirements such as technical risks, capabilities and limitations of functionality, reliability, failure analysis, quality assurance, maintainability, and affordability of each system.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band DP-02 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing cybersecurity assessment support and/or guidance throughout the system life cycle collaborating with all assessment stakeholders on cybersecurity matters.
