Major Duties:

  • You will be the primary consultant and advisor to the N6 Director and Commander, Naval Special Warfare Group ONE (NSWG-l) in the development, formulation, installation, and management of information assurance policy in all matters.
  • You will take actions as necessary to ensure all Classified and Unclassified Local Area Networks (LAN) under their purview operate in a high state of security with assured system access.
  • You will develop and implement procedures and instructions to ensure that management and staff are aware of, understand, and adhere to information systems security policies and procedures.
  • You will monitor and evaluate Command's compliance with information systems security programs, policies, and procedures.
  • You will provide advice and guidance in implementing information assurance policies and procedures across the Command to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility.
  • You will promote awareness and training of security issues among management and staff ensuring sound security principles are reflected in the Command's vision, goals, and daily operation.
  • You will provide advice and guidance to the organizational cybersecurity workforce, which includes the Information System Security Managers (ISSM), Information Management Officers (IMO), System and Workstation Administrators (SA and WA) etc.
  • You will ensure that cybersecurity workforce personnel and users of IS devices are trained and/or certified in all aspects of Cybersecurity IAW with all applicable DoD and Navy directives and regulations.

Qualifications: GS-13 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, monitoring, transmitting, and safeguarding electronic information); implementing IT security policies and procedures (i.e.) informational, personnel, physical, and/or Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for an information assurance program. GS-12 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, monitoring, transmitting, and safeguarding electronic information); implementing IT security policies and procedures (i.e.) informational, personnel, physical, and/or Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for an information assurance program; acting as an information system security manager for an organization. In addition to the above listed qualifications, your experience must also reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
