We Require

  • Three years of related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.

We Also Value

  • Six years of progressive experience in IT operations or related fields

  • Three years in a supervisory or managerial role

  • Experience working with multiple departments to implement IT solutions

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk)

  • Proficiency in personal computer systems, LAN/WAN, software, hardware troubleshooting, and asset management tools

Job Contributions

  • Supervises and directs the work of IT operational support teams (e.g. help desk or PC/LAN); selects, trains, coaches, and mentors staff

  • Develops and implements customer service strategies; maintains current knowledge of personal computers and hardware support

  • Ensures support practices adhere to policy and procedure compliance, recommends changes, and adjustments to maximize efficiency

  • Participates in budget preparation and administration

  • Maintains current knowledge of asset and knowledge management, software architecture, and upgrade techniques

  • Troubleshoots and resolves the most complex problems and ensures that division objectives are met

  • Assists in the creation of IT operation strategies, personal computer strategies, and support standards

  • Assists leadership on long-range systems planning

Working Conditions

  • Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly OR requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

  • Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
