The IT Lead Quality Control collaborates closely with the IT Quality Assurance Manager on the company's strategic projects. They actively contribute to the Quality Assurance team by ensuring that QA best practices are followed across projects. They assist the Manager in developing project testing strategies. They actively participate in the use and advancement of automated testing techniques in various projects.
They actively contribute to the Quality Assurance team by ensuring a thorough functional understanding of the needs expressed by the business units and by liaising with developers. They ensure that applications to be deployed to production conform to the required specifications and provide QA approval for production deployments.
Responsibilities
Define the testing strategy to be used for the various projects.
Plan and manage application testing in support of the various projects included in the organization's roadmap.
Review and understand the documentation of the features delivered by the projects to be tested.
Ensure the application of QA best practices in test documentation and execution.
Determine the necessary skills and balance testing resources accordingly.
Identify any gaps in the skills and training required for the identified testing resources.
Track and communicate the results to stakeholders and project resources.
Effectively address risks as they arise.
During testing cycles, monitor progress by continuously evaluating the workload allocation for each resource and rebalancing or reallocating resources as needed.
Check for potential delays in the test plan and engage in discussions with testers to understand any challenges they may be facing and work to resolve any issues.
Prepare risk mitigation plans for anticipated delays.
Participate in developing the organizational-level automated testing strategy.
Participate in selecting and developing the automated testing framework for new projects or projects where one does not yet exist.
Improve the automated testing framework.
Support other specialists in defining the different scopes (stories, releases, sprints, projects, tests).
Participate in the continuous improvement of QA processes across the company.
Understand the available testing environments and tools.
Understand the test data available in each of these environments.
Authorize the migration of application versions in each of the testing environments.
Work with the application migration team to plan the interventions required on each of these environments so that they have little or no impact on the work of the testers.
Qualifications
College diploma in information management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
6 to 12 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Bilingualism (French/English), spoken and written.
Experience with Test Automation.
Knowledge of backend testing tools and execution (API and database level).
Experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Postman, Selenium, Jenkins, and Cypress.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Strong knowledge of SQL queries.
Good understanding of Agile continuous delivery methodologies.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Team player with flexibility.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
