Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a << >> Level to join our Team at MMC.
Your Experience
As a Colleague at Mercer, you will be responsible for defining and designing the end-to-end Test strategy to ensure the delivery of a high quality software that meets user requirements. You will be working with the Software Engineers and Test Engineers to define and design the test automation framework which includes code reviews, unit test, system integration and Regression test as well as Non-Functional test practices. This is a hands-on role that requires the candidate to work collaboratively in a squad following a Scaled Agile development methodology to design test automation framework. You must be a self-starter, delivery-focused, and possess a broad set of technology skills.
Things you will do:
- Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
- Experience testing AI/Gen AI business applications. Demonstrate usage of Gen AI in tooling & AI driven insights reporting. Creating/Reusing AI utilities/components for Testing.
- Understanding project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to design and create test automation framework on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop, and Web, and building test scenarios and acceptance tests.
- Working with deployments teams, resolving level issues for systems, coordinating on product design, and offering input on the testability of functional elements and product designs.
- Analyzing and disintegrating software systems and coordinating with other teams to enhance the overall design.
- Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
- Form a Test Strategy that includes Shift left Test automation as the key principle
- Ensure 100% test coverage for all Functional and Non-Functional businesses, may work with the Non-Functional test Engineer to ensure test coverage for Non-Functional business cases.
- Hands-on; Creating automated Test suites for Integration, Regression including API, Data validation both back end and front end and edge scenarios
- Identify non automated test cases to be performed manually
- Work closely with a Lead Software Engineer to define Unit test and acceptance test strategy
- Follow good agile practices that are foundational to product delivery
- Work with state-of-the-art testing tools such as Selenium, WebDriver IO
- Troubleshoot and resolve Test scripting issues
What you will bring:
- Strong understanding of Test Engineering and Quality Assurance best practices, tools and policies
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment
- Proven track record of successfully delivering Test automation framework
- Experience or knowledge of working with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience in selenium tools and Configuring Selenium Test Environment (Ex: Eclipse IDE, Visual Studio Code, Java, Selenium WebDriverIO JavaScript and TestNG , Cucumber, etc.). Involvement in Test Environment Setup
- Strong experience working with API test automation
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Good understanding of working with a source control system such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Git Actions, Selenium Grid
- Experience working with ADO
Technical Skills Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in the following Test automation languages and frameworks; JavaScript, WebDriverIO and TestNG, Cypress
- Strong experience working with MSSQL, API test automation
- Good understanding of working with a source control system such as Azure DevOps/TFS, Github or Bitbucket
- Experience working with Jira
- Excellent designing and Knowledge of programming languages and process management methodology.
