IT Portfolio Operations Manager
We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to provide strategic leadership in overseeing enterprise-wide portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and governance frameworks. They influence the development of measurement strategies, reporting standards, and visualization practices that support executive decision-making and long-term planning. By guiding cross-functional collaboration and data-driven insights, they enable resource optimization, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across the portfolio. YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director IT Business Management, you will be empowered to:
Define measurement objectives, scope, and standards across teams and projects.
Select and implement metrics aligned with organizational goals and agile delivery outcomes.
Use visualization tools and craft data narratives to communicate insights and support decision-making.
Provide guidance on measurement policies, visualization approaches, and explore new methods to enhance portfolio intelligence.
Support governance and reporting by ensuring alignment of project tracking with portfolio objectives and contributing cross-project insights on risk, quality, and performance.
Provide operational leadership through task allocation, performance monitoring, coaching, and fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Investigate complex BI needs, integrate and validate data sources, apply advanced analytics and predictive modeling, and identify opportunities to streamline and digitize BI processes.
Ensure data quality and classification accuracy, guide others in best practices, and collaborate with teams to refine analysis and deliver actionable insights for decision-making.
Coach team members to build skills, navigate challenges, and access resources while supporting learning and development activities.
Allocate tasks, monitor quality and performance, and provide feedback or escalate concerns to ensure team objectives are met.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Education & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field; postgraduate education or professional certification (e.g., PfMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent) is an asset
5–7 years of progressive experience in portfolio management, with demonstrated ability to influence governance and strategic decision-making at the enterprise level.
Relevant Skills:
Expertise in portfolio governance, enterprise delivery models, and strategic planning, with strong knowledge of Agile/Lean practices, financial governance, and emerging technology trends.
Advanced skills in performance measurement, data analytics, and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau), including KPI development, predictive modeling, and data storytelling to drive enterprise-level decisions.
Proven experience in leading enterprise measurement and reporting strategies, designing dashboards, leveraging BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL), integrating data across systems, coaching teams, engaging stakeholders, and managing vendors to ensure compliance and data-driven decision-making.
