The Role

As a Software Engineering - Developer at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge software solutions. Your work will play a critical role in our business offering, your code will deliver value to our customers faster than ever before, and your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be critical in ensuring the success of our products.

Using design documentation and functional programming specifications, you will be responsible for implementing identified components. You will ensure that implemented components are appropriately documented, unit-tested, and ready for integration into the final product. You will have the opportunity to architect the solution, test the code, and deploy and build a CI/CD pipeline for it.

  • Own and define the data exploitation platform strategy, vision, and roadmap across the bank.
  • Lead platforms enabling analytics, BI, data science, AI/ML, and advanced reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure availability of trusted, high‑quality, and well‑governed data products for business, risk, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Business teams, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Risk, Finance, and Compliance to support data‑driven use cases.
  • Govern the end‑to‑end data exploitation architecture, from curated data layers to consumption tools.
  • Define, standardize, and enforce guidelines for data access, consumption, security, and performance.
  • Drive self‑service analytics adoption and promote data democratization across the organization.
  • Ensure platforms fully support regulatory, management, and operational reporting requirements.
  • Oversee vendor management, platform capacity planning, and platform cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, data privacy, security, and other European regulatory expectations.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

  • 12+ Years of Experience in leading enterprise‑grade analytics or data modernization programs.

  • Proven experience leading data exploitation, analytics, or BI platforms in complex enterprises.

  • Hands‑on experience with analytics, BI, AI/ML enablement, and reporting platforms.

  • Strong understanding of semantic layers, data marts, curated layers, and analytical data models.

  • Ability to design platforms supporting both batch and near real‑time analytics.

  • Experience enabling self‑service BI, governed access, and federated consumption.

  • Experience with major analytics & BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).

  • Familiarity with data science / ML platforms used for advanced analytics.

  • Strong understanding of cloud‑based data & analytics ecosystems.

  • Experience integrating consumption layers with enterprise data platforms and data engineering pipelines.

  • Understanding of data governance, metadata, and data quality frameworks.

  • Experience implementing role‑based access, data masking, consent management, and data protection controls.

  • Knowledge of GDPR, European data privacy rules, and regulatory expectations for data use.

  • Understanding of audit, lineage, traceability, and evidencing requirements for data in banking.

  • Strong understanding of European banking data usage across key domains:

    • Payments & cards analytics

    • Lending & credit analytics

    • Finance & performance management (MIS)

    • Risk & regulatory reporting

    • Treasury & investment analytics (high level)

    • Understanding of data consumption patterns and decision‑making processes used within banking functions.


Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Experience leading enterprise‑grade analytics or data modernization programs.

  • Prior exposure to European regulatory reporting and governance environments.

  • Experience working with cross‑functional European teams in IT, data, and business domains.

  • Knowledge of cloud migration, platform scaling, and modernization strategies.

  • Experience working with vendors or managing platform licensing and cost models.
