Job Purpose

Location: Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Leeds office. 

Salary: £23,000

We are excited to offer a 12‑month Intern Programme within the IT team. As the IT Intern, your primary focus will be on supporting the development and delivery of modern IT solutions across low‑code application development, cloud infrastructure, and core IT operations. 

You will work closely with a small, hands‑on IT team, gaining practical experience in building and enhancing applications using the Microsoft Power Platform—including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio. In addition, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud‑based services and participate in day‑to‑day IT operations, helping to ensure robust, secure, and efficient technology services across the organisation. 

This role provides a broad and valuable foundation in end‑to‑end IT delivery, giving you exposure to a wide range of technologies and real‑world project work within a dynamic environment

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in designing, building, and enhancing applications using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio. 
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows to improve business processes and reduce manual effort. 
  • Support the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources, primarily within Microsoft Azure. 
  • Support day‑to‑day IT service delivery including user support, incident resolution, and routine operational tasks. 
  • Help manage enterprise tools such as Microsoft 365 services, collaboration tools, and endpoint management. 
  • Participate in monitoring and maintaining system health, backups, and operational controls. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. 
  • Contribute to testing activities, quality assurance, and the rollout of new features or services. 
  • Work collaboratively across the IT team on a variety of technical projects and enhancements. 

Knowledge, Skill and Experience requirements

  • Current undergraduate student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field 
  • Strong understanding of computing fundamentals and some experience with programming (ideally Python or Java) 
  • Interest in testing, automation, and quality assurance 
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, including low-code tools and cloud platforms 
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
