IT Hardware Technician | Iron Mountain (formerly Australian Computer Traders)

About the Role Iron Mountain recently acquired Australian Computer Traders, strengthening our ability to deliver secure, sustainable, and compliant asset lifecycle solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. We are now seeking a detail-oriented IT Hardware Technician to join our team.

In this role, you will perform systematic diagnostic assessments, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of systems and devices.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnostic Assessment: Test and identify hardware failures or performance bottlenecks across multiple form factors.
  • Laptops: Replace keyboards, batteries, internal speakers, and damaged screens.
  • Desktops: Swap power supplies (PSUs), motherboards, and cooling systems.
  • Tablets/Mobile: Handle delicate screen replacements and battery swaps for mobile devices.
  • Upgrades: Install and configure SSDs and RAM modules to meet client specifications.
  • Lifecycle Assessment: Evaluate incoming equipment to determine if it is viable for repair or requires secure decommissioning.

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of internal and external components for laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.
  • Documentation: Ability to prepare technical reports regarding equipment modifications and maintenance procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Experience maintaining accurate logs of serial numbers, warranty status, and parts within a ticketing system.
  • Efficiency: A proactive approach to managing repair queues and meeting deadlines.
