The IT Governance Manager is a critical role enabling Solventum IT to plan, prioritise and deliver the portfolio of strategic programs and projects. This role ensures alignment with enterprise objectives, optimizes resource utilization, and drives governance and performance excellence across IT programs and projects. Additionally, this role will also liaise on compliance, risk management, and performance monitoring of IT processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role (Job Responsibilities):

Portfolio Management

  • Support planning, prioritization and delivery of a diverse portfolio of IT projects and programs.
  • Govern IT project, program lifecycle—from intake to execution to closure.
  • Ensure compliance with Transformation Management Office (TMO) standards, project and program delivery methodologies, and stage gate reviews.
  • Validate business cases, project charters, program charters, budgets, and change controls.
  • Monitor program and project health, risk status, and deliver governance dashboards for leadership

Governance, Risk Management & Compliance

  • Define IT governance frameworks, standards, and policies, ensuring compliance with SOX, ITGC, regulatory and corporate governance.
  • Proactively identify risks across systems, projects, and processes and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Champion a culture of risk awareness and accountability across the IT organization.
  • Ensure ongoing testing, monitoring, and improvement of IT controls.
  • Maintain documentation—including workflows, RACIs, and governance processes

Audit Management

  • Champion internal and external IT audits end-to-end.
  • Central contact for auditors, ensuring timely evidence, walkthroughs, and control demonstrations.
  • Drive closure of audit findings and strengthen audit readiness year-round.
  • Implement mechanisms for continuous compliance, not just point-in-time audits.

Your skills & expertise (Minimum qualifications):

  • Demonstrated ability to translate enterprise business goals into IT portfolio priorities.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT project, program, portfolio management, governance, compliance, risk management, audit.
  • Strong expertise in SOX, ITGC, ISO 27001, COBIT, and IT governance frameworks.
  • Experience governing portfolios spanning diverse IT projects and programs, Financial Management, Resource Management.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Proven track record managing complex internal and external audits.
  • Preferred certifications: CISA, COBIT, ITIL, PMP, CRISC.

Work location: Bangalore, India

  • Hybrid Eligible - Job Duties allow for some remote work but require to be in office at least 2 - 3 days per week
