We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Enterprise Systems Architect with a specialized focus on integrating and optimizing our SAP and Salesforce ecosystems. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining the architectural strategy for how our core SAP (ERP) system and Salesforce (CRM) platform interact with each other and with other enterprise applications.
This senior role requires deep technical expertise in both SAP and Salesforce, combined with strategic vision to ensure our technological infrastructure aligns with our business objectives for growth, efficiency, and data integrity. The architect will be a key leader in driving digital transformation initiatives by designing robust, scalable, and secure system integrations.
Key responsibilities
- Architectural design and planning:
- Develop and maintain the architectural roadmap for the SAP and Salesforce landscapes, including integration, data flow, and technology selection.
- Translate business capabilities and requirements into comprehensive and scalable solution designs leveraging SAP and Salesforce platforms.
- Assess current system architecture to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for modernization, including cloud adoption and API-led integration strategies.
- Technical leadership and governance:
- Provide expert guidance and oversight for all projects involving SAP and Salesforce implementation, upgrades, and integration.
- Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and governance policies to ensure system consistency, scalability, and security across both platforms.
- Act as the subject matter expert on SAP and Salesforce architecture, mentoring technical teams, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- System integration and data integrity:
- Design and document complex integration patterns between SAP and Salesforce using various middleware technologies (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, or SAP BTP).
- Oversee data modeling, migration, and synchronization to ensure a single source of truth and high-quality data across the enterprise.
- Ensure all integration solutions adhere to enterprise security and compliance standards.
- Stakeholder collaboration and communication:
- Partner with business leaders across sales, finance, operations, commercial and IT to align technology solutions with business goals.
- Effectively communicate complex architectural concepts and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Present architectural designs, roadmaps, and business cases to executive leadership.
Required qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Master's degree or certification in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) is highly desirable.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years in information technology, with at least 5 years in a senior architect role specializing in SAP and Salesforce integration.
- Expertise:
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and integrating large-scale enterprise systems leveraging SAP (especially S/4HANA Rise) and Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.).
- Deep understanding of integration technologies, API management, and middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, SAP PI/PO).
- Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, data governance, and data migration strategies.
- Knowledge of cloud-based architectures (Azure preferred) and how to integrate SAP and Salesforce within cloud environments.
- Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking abilities.
- Ability to balance technical requirements with business needs and constraints.
