A Brief Summary of This Position:
This position will be an Individual contributor in our IT Infrastructure team, helping to design, deliver, and support new and existing Infrastructure components across the enterprise.

Essential Functions:
· This position reports to the Manager – IT – Infrastructure and has no direct or indirect reports.
· This position requires 5 days in the office, supporting our Bellville, Brenham and Houston facilities.
· Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.
· Collaborate with Valmont staff, IT teams, leadership, and external partners to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes. Including service improvements and action plans.
· Execute the design, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of facility Information Technology and Operational Technology systems, processes, tasks, tooling, and automation that conform to standards, policies, and established best practices.
· Develop and maintain functional documentation that detail standard operating procedures, troubleshooting techniques, systems architecture, and solutions.
· Collaborate with both internal resources and external vendors/solution providers to obtain stakeholder buy in and design and deliver value added services/capabilities to Valmont.
· Participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Major Incident Management Responses to Business Impacting Events and summarize, report, and implement process improvements.
· Implement and execute all activities related to continual service improvement processes.
· Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to understand and meet their service needs.
· Create required reports in response to business user needs.
· Use and evaluate appropriate tools to sense, alert, triage, respond, remediate, and manage the observability and execution within the IT Ecosystem as required by changing conditions.
· Responsible for properly tracking and documenting all system problems, changes, and problem resolutions using the ITSM tool.
· Responsible for properly tracking and documenting all project plans, scheduling, progress, changes, and problem resolutions using the team Project Management tooling.
· Create/Maintain rapport and teamwork with all members of Valmont's IT and business staff.
· Maintains a degree of self-directed activity.
· Willingness to comply with international travel regulations and requirements, including immunizations.
· Write and review supporting documentation, such as release notes, help documentation, articles, and features.
Other Important Details about the Role:
· Ability to troubleshoot, identify and replace components on computers and peripheral equipment.
· Ability to lift. Transport, and rack equipment weighing up to 50 pounds from a floor or table position using a proper lifting technique.
· Ability to run and terminate network cables per T568 standards, including fiber and copper.
· Ability to operate manlifts and work at elevated heights.
· Ability to install server and network cabinets with equipment and necessary cable management.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft EPM and Tanium.
· Working knowledge of Server Hardware and OS.
· Working knowledge of Server Virtualization platforms (Nutanix, VMWare, Hyper-V, Azure Local).
· Working knowledge of Windows Workstation OS (multiple versions) and Hardware.
Required Qualifications for Every Candidate:
· Preferred Bachelors with 5+ years relevant experience or Associate's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or 9+ years of relevant experience.
· Experience/Certifications/Knowledge in Network Administration, Systems Analysis, Server Administration, or Support (consummate with the role - Systems, Network).
· Ability to design and install server and network racks with appropriate cable management techniques.
· Understanding of ITIL framework and service management tools.
· Strong analytical, documentation, and communication (both written and oral) skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and reporting tools.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively as an individual and in a team environment.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
· Energetic and self-motivated team player.
· Strong working knowledge of proactive and auto-corrective monitoring practices.
· Direct Experience with the technology stack (Server: Microsoft, Nutanix, VMWare, Lenovo, Dell) (Network: Aruba, Fortinet).
· Experience with ITIL processes, particularly continual service improvement.
· Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels and multiple backgrounds.
· Experience working in a hybrid or global team environment.
· Proven track record of implementing successful process improvement initiatives.
· Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and applications.
· Advanced technical skills, including experience with IT service management tools.
· Direct experience with manufacturing and/or production floor technologies and equipment.
