As an IT Project Management Advisor, supporting the Consumer Driven Health (CDH) Operations Product Line you will be primarily responsible for building strategy, defining requirements and driving execution for implementation of client/vendor projects. This includes managing all aspects of project delivery, roadmap development, research, data analysis, testing and ensuring customer/stakeholder satisfaction.
This role will allow you to work with a team of talented IT Project Management Advisors and Sr. Advisors along with others within the CDH Services organization. The CDH Services organization serves at the hub of the integrated accumulator ecosystem between Express Scripts, Cigna, our Health Plan clients, and third party medical benefit providers. Our aim is to be a SME on the product and relevant processes, influence standards/best practices, and improve overall efficiency and effectiveness. The right candidate for this role should be able to solve complex problems, communicate effectively, and utilize technical skills as well as business acumen. The candidate should be self-driven, agile in learning new tools/processes, and be a trusted collaborative advisor throughout the implementation of the project. Key Responsibilities
Provide expert content/professional leadership on complex IT Project Management assignments/projects
Responsible for managing, directing and planning several projects simultaneously
Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and assigning project tasks, team building, and maintaining working relationships with client functional areas outside of IT
Apply project management methodologies and reporting techniques to indicate project status
Identify, evaluate and formulate detailed project plan, tracks milestones and schedules; negotiate and modify schedules as well as resources required to meet project objectives
Evaluate and report progress in terms of quality and performance metrics common to IT projects
Work with client departments to coordinate systems testing, installation, training and support
Keep informed of technical and operational advances
Exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives
Use deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders
Focus on providing thought leadership within IT Project Management including projects which require understanding of the larger organization
Required Experience / Qualifications
High school diploma
5+ years of experience in data exchange/management or IT project management
5+ years of experience in a client/vendor facing role
Experience with JCL, test environment management, execution of load jobs and Mainframe/Rumba/TSO
Broad business knowledge of the health care services industry
Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company/departmental goals and objectives into individual performance goals
Strong presentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including training delivery
Strong problem solving skills, including ability to collect, analyze, and offer relevant insights from data for a senior leadership audience
Ability to understand complex needs of stakeholders at all levels of the organization in order to drive solutions
Ability to handle competing priorities and display strong collaboration skills and team work
Desired Experience / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related discipline
Ability to flex seamlessly between high-level strategic work and detailed execution of complex initiatives
