Job Summary: This National Guard position is for a IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5894000 and is part of the FL 125th FW, National Guard.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to current on-board (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) US Federal employees interested in helping the Department of the Air Force meet our mission requirements as a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC). PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation. NOTES: 1. Must have a SECRET clearance prior to appointment and the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. 2. Selectee must meet position requirements for certification at Level II in Information Assurance Technician (IAT-II) within 6 months or less of appointment to this position. 3. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG. 4. May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments. 5. Overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required. SPECILAIZED EXPERIENCE - GS12: Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-11level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience experience working the cyber program's standardization and evaluation programs; experiences included coordinating with MAJCOMs, Numbered Air Forces, Group Standardization and Evaluation, and active duty counterparts to validate that the unit's evaluation program reflected AF standards and metrics; experienced in developing procedures used to assess an operator's currency and readiness to perform contingency and training missions; experienced in analyzing, evaluating and examining Cyberspace Operators in order to determine their proficiency levels as required to operate cyberspace weapon systems and meet the of particular crew positions' standards and special mission profiles; experienced in conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of DoD information systems that identified vulnerabilities, risks and protection needs; experienced in delivering assessed changes to higher-level policies, standards, directives or operations manuals that provided impacts on unit plans, policies, programs or operations; experiences included recommendations to senior leaders to adopt new concepts, criteria, and standards for inclusion in cyberspace operations training programs.
