Job Summary: This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA JOINT SERVICES PROVIDER.

Major Duties:

  • Serves as the Information Technology (IT) Asset Management Specialist and IT Liaison, responsible for ensuring comprehensive IT asset accountability and efficient resource management across DISA HQ/J6, and in support of Pentagon Staff.
  • Maintains data integrity and ensuring compliance with DoD and Army regulations for property accountability and reporting, while utilizing the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) to accurately reflect asset status for audit readiness.
  • The incumbent plans and executes strategic IT initiatives to optimize resource allocation and enhance operational capabilities for supported entities.
  • Monitoring administrative telephone service utilization and establishing policies for portable devices are crucial aspects of optimizing communication efficiency and security.
  • Studies current and future IT equipment needs, proposes upgrades for outdated equipment, and coordinating the procurement of new technologies aligned with DoD and Army strategic goals.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience managing IT assets and maintaining accurate accountability records in compliance with regulations OR planning and coordinating IT equipment updates and procurements OR monitoring and managing administrative telephone and portable device programs to improve security efficiency.
