As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for:
Developing annual and long-term sourcing strategies and pipeline plans for the software category.
Achieving cost savings targets.
Defining supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
Negotiating terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.
Leading RF(x), and commercial contract negotiations with software suppliers.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams including legal, finance, cyber security, and others.
Mitigating supplier risks through effective contracting and supplier management.
Communicating with business leaders and stakeholders regarding project status, process compliance, business procedures, and policies.
Serving as a business partner to key IT stakeholders and cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes, ensure compliance with company requirements, and track metrics (KPIs).
Owning and building relationships with key suppliers and other partners as needed to advance business requirements and achieve internal customer satisfaction.
Providing thought leadership as the team leader of the software sourcing team.
Leading multiple sourcing projects and sourcing-related activities in a fast-paced, multi-national environment.
Understanding of global cybersecurity and data privacy regulations related to the procurement of software and associated services.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
Have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive experience leading technology sourcing activities for global Software (On-Prem, SaaS, Cloud) and Services.
Have the ability to leverage internal and external data sources to create strategic category plans.
Be a skilled negotiator who can both plan and execute sourcing strategies in support of stakeholder’s business needs.
Have experience in negotiating & redlining software contracts.
Have strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.
