IT Business Analyst

Micron Technology is looking for a beginner to grow in the IT field, focusing on product release management, scrum mastery, project management, and product management. The role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure process consistency and alignment with business goals. The candidate will also oversee release management for significant global software deployments, ensuring adherence to best practices and procedures. This position is a gateway to understanding the intricacies of IT project dynamics and contributing to large-scale, impactful work.

Roles: To act as a Scrum Master for tactical work. To act as a Project Manager where need on larger strategic efforts. To act as the Release Manager on global software deployments. To act on product management for our product to evolute with business.

Scrum Master :

o    Facilitate all Sprint Planning/Closure meetings with the team

o    Responsibilities :

• *Capturing and clarifying ticket requirements
• *Capturing story points, Type, and priority of tickets
• *Balancing Sprint workload assignments across team
• *Enforcing data consistency and process across JIRA tickets
• *Following up with customers if more information is needed
• *Facilitate team meetings to drive ideas and solutions to business problems. Drive synergy.
• *Facilitate team meetings with the customers and team to prioritize and categorize work for projects.

Release Manager :

o    Responsibilities :

• *Documentation: Documenting the features of the release
• *Release Coordination: Ensures smooth software releases by working with development, QA, and operations teams.
• *Quality Assurance: Ensures releases meet quality standards before deployment. Release problems or issue feedback to the developer team
• *Risk Identification: Identifies risks and issues that could impact successful software releases.
• *Release Scheduling: Establishing and driving site release/testing timelines
• *Process Management: Manages the overall release process.

Project Manager :

• *The Project Manager oversees the entire project, regardless of the methodology (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• *Responsibilities :
  • *Planning: Creates and manages project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • *Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates risks.
  • *Stakeholder Communication: Communicates with stakeholders, including upper management.
  • *Scope Management: Ensures project scope is well-defined and adhered to.
  • *Resource Allocation: Allocates resources (including team members) effectively.

Product Management:

• *Become the SME on how our customers use our software today in order to clarify current issues and enhance the overall user experience.
• *Establish feedback loops with key customers by building strong relationships.
• *Participate in building proactive monitoring and usage metrics into systems that establish system baselines to be able to predict future demands.
• *Participate with the creation and maintenance of the software roadmap to be able to forecast incremental changes to the bigger picture.
• *Drive the creation of plans and strategies for minimizing service outages (i.e., availability, contingency, and disaster planning).
• *Communicate and collaborate with global peer groups (enterprise architects, security team, network team, storage, etc.) to help remove roadblocks for the team.
• *Communicate and collaborate with global IT Support groups (i.e. - Site L2/L3 teams, Aux IT etc.) to facilitate training and documentation needs.
• *Provide status updates for projects and goals to upper management, major stakeholders and IT support teams.
• *Participate in refining our reference architecture framework in order to create user apps that grow and scale with the needs of the company.

o Atlassian: JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket skills or familiarity

o Microsoft: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills

o Project management fundamentals

Education and Experience:

• IT knowledge of databases, infrastructure, operating systems, and/or programming concepts are a huge plus.
