Compensation Range

About This Job
The Payments IT Business Analyst II position will partner with the others in the Core Banking Application Payments family to implement, maintain, and enhance the bank’s payment rails. This position will support the IT Payments Service strategy and planning by driving the Agile process and ensuring the team has well-defined and actionable tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, driving out quality requirements with the appropriate teams, coordinating with developers and architects to build and implement technology solutions, and keeping well-informed of technology trends and developments.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with line of business and project leadership to analyze complex business problems to determine an IT solution while developing and analyzing functional specifications
Assist in designing efficient IT solutions to meet business and technological needs
Document and diagram project requirements, which support development efforts
Create user stories to reflect system needs to ensure customer expectations are met
Participate in and Lead Agile Ceremonies, including standups, backlog grooming, etc
Manage Team task board for both system deliveries and working tasks
Open and close issue tickets with vendor, while proactively identifying and removing project/product impediments
Contribute to and execute process improvement initiatives for the team
Schedule and facilitate meetings to establish quality project requirements and independently work on assigned tasks
Collaborate and coordinate problem-solving efforts between clients and IT or third-party vendors, software support, investigation and analysis of problems related to the analyst area of responsibility
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Understanding of the Agile methodology along with the ability to lead, participate and complete deliverables for ceremonies
Ability to work closely and communicate clearly and effectively with variety of technical and non-technical roles which include Product Owners, Project Management, Developers, Testers, Managers, etc.
Desire and ability to mentor, share skills, knowledge and expertise
Ability to read and create diagrams, User Experience flows and associated artifacts
Ability to understand the flow of work which includes forecasting, release planning, sprint planning and process improvement efforts
Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
Ability to independently drive tasks to completion in an efficient and timely manner
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Proficiency with Microsoft suite of technologies such as Azure DevOps/TFS, Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience required
3+ years of experience writing business requirements or equivalent experience required
1+ year experience working on an Agile/Scrum Team required
Certified Scrum Master certification preferred, or ability to obtain within one year of hire

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $72,500 to $109,000 annually. Depending on the job level, this position may be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
