IT Asset Management Analyst

As an IT Asset Management Analyst at MKS Instruments, you will collaborate with IT teams—including Field Services, Applications, and Infrastructure—to support hardware and software asset management. This role focuses on asset lifecycle activities such as purchasing, licensing, compliance reporting, and asset data governance. You will also interact with business stakeholders and end users to fulfill hardware and software requests. The position reports to the IT Asset Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support hardware asset reconciliation and reporting, including lifecycle and refresh data
  • Process software purchase requisitions as needed
  • Procurement for hardware requests coming from IT Field Service Technicians or End Users
  • Partner with the Hardware Asset Analyst to ensure governance and data accuracy for EUC devices in the asset management database
  • Deliver standard and ad hoc IT asset management reports
  • Perform additional IT asset management duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Hands-on experience with hardware asset management
  • Working knowledge of software asset management and licensing concepts
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules.
  • Knowledge of Oracle & SAP ERP systems for procurement purposes.
